KORA seeks to advance the narrative of Filipino identity among an ever-growing generation of Filipino diaspora through its culturally prideful offerings.Our mission statement: Exploring the richness of Filipino culture through elevated hospitality & our family recipes.ResponsibilitiesCandidates will be selected based on their attitude, experience and ability, and will be responsible for the preparation, production, cleaning, and related duties including but not limited to:-Assisting with weekly doughnut prep, including mixing brioche, cooking pastry creams, mousses, buttercreams, custards, puddings, garnitures- Set-up and assist in production including frying, filling, glazing, piping, assembling, and packaging doughnuts- Maintain cleanliness & organization of all workstations, storages, dry, fridge, and freezer in accordance with NYC food safety guidelines- Assist with menu testing, recipe development & product photoshoots- Quality checking products- Receiving & storage of deliveries- Assisting with catering & events both on & off-premiseRequirements- Able to provide proof of full COVID vaccination- Authorized to work in the U.S- Able to speak basic English- Able to work with a sense of urgency and a positive attitude- Able to interact productively and professionally with co-workers- Able to follow directions from managers and perform work tasks assigned- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time- Able to work well under pressure and multitask- Able to lift and move at least 50 pounds- Able to understand and follow work rules and procedures- Able to receive constructive criticism in a professional manner-Able to report to work at scheduled times and to fulfill job requirements for the duration of shift or until relieved of duties-Able to maintain punctual attendance per company policy-Able to work in various stations with various equipment, which all require the use of all limbs and the ability to see at --close distance
